SWIMMING
17 years ago I started swimming and in 2002 attempted my first Rottnest Channel open water swim. This event is approximately 19.2km and to date I have completed six successful solo crossings, two duo crossings and six (4 member) team crossings. In July 2006 I was a member of the Oldest Relay Team in the World to swim the English Channel and a month later, two days after my friend Selwyn Jellie completed his solo crossing, I set a new world record to become the Oldest Women in the World to swim the English Channel. I find the E3 sports drink provides me with the necessary fuel for rehydration, replacing electrolytes and protein to complete my current 50km+ per week training schedule for another solo attempt at the English Channel. With the obvious benefits and pleasant taste E3 will play an important part in my August 2010 swim.
